The University of Tehran launched its Women’s Studies program in correspondence with “Center for Women’s Participation”, office of the President in 2001 to serve as the major pioneer Iranian academic institution in women, gender and family studies, highlighting women’s research, education and publications in national and international levels. CWS is highly motivated to develop partnership with other higher education institutions, and public and private organizations, which will enhance the contributions it makes.
CWS is glorified to conduct many research projects, national and international, and to manage great substantial plans. CWS has been the only esteemed Iranian academic institution which advanced the draft of the establishment of the Iranian ministry of women to the parliament and it abides by any visionary efforts to promote women’s rights and inspires.
