Online workshop on social work on "Identification and management of social harms among children and adolescents"
Workshop topic: Identification and management of social harm among children and adolescents
The workshop was held with 19 participants by registration. Participants were social workers, sociologists, and criminologists working directly with affected children and adolescents. In this three-day workshop, four models for identifying and managing injury among children and adolescents were taught. The trained models are as follows: Iceberg Model: In this model, learners were taught how to partially identify coping strategies of children and adolescents and avoid merely observing the victim's behavior and making judgments and speculations. Development Audit Model: In this model, participants were taught how to make a principled assessment of the affected child or adolescent and present an intervention plan based on his or her strengths. Trauma Informed Care Model: In this model, by presenting five principles, participants were taught how to have an institution and caregivers with a harm-conscious care approach to prevent re-injury to the client. Trust Based Relational Intervention: In this approach, participants were taught how to communicate with children and adolescents based on existing principles on empowerment, security, behavior modification and coping strategies, as well as healing relationships. Damaged do.
