The Center for Women Studies at Tehran University was established in 2001 as a research center and began its academic and research activities on identifying, examining and finding solutions to issues women face in Iran. In 2004 the center was also entrusted by the board of Tehran University with the task of teaching M.A. courses in Women Studies and has since admitted five rounds of M.A. students at present. The Center is independent and located in Vesal St., Shahed Alley, No. 8. It also has a second office in the Department of Social Sciences.
