The 17th webinar of the Center for Women Studies and Research of the University of Tehran was held on Monday, October 26, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the subject of women in historical periods from the perspective of contemporary Iranian fiction. The speakers were Dr. Mansoureh Shahriari, a PhD student in Persian Language and Literature at Allameh Tabatabai University and a researcher at the Center for Women Studies and Research at the University of Tehran, and the moderator was Dr. Mehdi Fatorehchi, Director of the New Media and Family Working Group. Session Summary: The identity of women in society has always been shaped by male discourse, while the nature of women is determined only when women themselves can create it. Women express their thoughts through stories without intermediaries. The increasing growth of women writers in recent years reflects this, as well as the social, cultural and political conditions that occur in each period affect the fictional literature. In this meeting, the events of each decade from before the constitution to the 1390s were examined and its impact on women's literature was shown. Also, the leading authors of each decade were introduced. The webinar ended with questions and answers.
